Photo of the Week: Remnants of June

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

I realized today that August is almost here. Where did the summer go? I feel like it has passed me by and I didn’t take notice. Maybe I didn’t use these beautifully long and warm days to their fullest potential and that is why I’m feeling a bit lost.

I had so many plans for the summer and so many are still sitting, waiting for me to mark them off my list.

This is why today I’ve decided to make Remnants of June the Photo of the Week. This photograph was actually taken in my front yard. We have a bush (not sure of its name exactly) that blooms pink flowers for only a couple of months out of the year. My original plan was to photograph it during this time however, time got away from me and before I knew it the flowers died. I was a little disappointed when I realized this but decided to photograph it anyways.

Remnants of June

Looking at the photograph now I think the plant is equally beautiful without blooms.

Moukaite Meditation Bracelet

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Just wanted to pop in and share this bracelet I bought from 27things a couple of weeks ago. It is made from rough, unpolished moukaite nuggets and re-purposed Tibetan prayer beads.Moukaite Meditation Bracelet

Moukaite is believed to increase mental stability, deepen meditation as well as aid in yoga practices. It is thought to keep the wearer grounded and help with difficult situations and decisions. Rosewood is also believed to balance moods.

Now I’m off to hopefully mark some things off my to-do list. Have a great day!

A gift from My Little Chipmunks

Hedgehog Necklace

I received the cutest gift in the mail a couple of days ago!

It’s from my good friend My Little Chipmunk and something I’ve been eying for quite some time.

This stunning little ceramic tile pendant featuring a hedgehog silhouette hangs on a silver ball chain.

This sweet little gift, like all necklaces from her shop, came packed in an equally adorable matching slide-top tin.

Make sure to stop by and pick up your own little hedgie or perhaps a bunny or squirrel or elephant!
